Happy Thursday! A lot of you have been asking about my past weekend in Dallas at the #rStheCon (Reward Style the Conference). What is this conference you ask? It’s a conference bringing together Reward Style’s top 200 publishers. The conference was held at The Joule Dallas, as well as most of our events & all of our classroom sessions & one on one brand meetings. Today’s post is a re-cap of all the outfits from the conference as well as an explanation to what we did. Scroll down if all you want to see is the outfits (shop them by clicking the corresponding picture(s) below the main picture), or keep reading if you want to hear a bit more about the conference.
The conference was a whirlwind from start to finish as it was non-stop, but such a great time. When arriving to the Joule on Thursday I met up with a few girls including my awesome roommate Kristin Brophy from Fancy Things Blog to have lunch at the Americana (attached to the hotel) before the festivities began. They kicked off the night with a “resort themed” rooftop party for cocktails & meet & greet with all the fellow bloggers. After the party Kristin & I headed over to The Harwood District in downtown Dallas to meet up with 14 other of our fellow blogger babes for dinner hosted by Amanda Miller of The Miller Affect. It was a late night but fun being able to finally meet so many people that we communicate with daily over social media.
Friday Morning we ordered room service, & the conference started at 9am. There was some great panels as well as Amber Venx Box (co-founder of rewardStyle & LIKEtoKNOW.it to tell us all about some of the ins & outs of the business. For the low down on what these are & to shop my looks from your email inbox, read this post. At noon we all headed down to the Americana for a lunch hosted by Rodail, & then the rest of the day was filled with branding suites where we introduced ourselves to the brands at the conference, as well as some one on one brand meetings. That evening we headed to the famous eye ball across the street for a “garden party” themed party hosted by Joe Fresh. The decor was magnolia’s all over the place & it was so pretty! After the party we headed to Highland Park Village for a dinner hosted by the lovely Elisa Summers & Jackie Bourne at the famous Mi Cocina. We tried the ever popular “Mambo Taxi” which was delicious, & I ate the best darn queso I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been craving Mexican food ever since I left, & it is a place you must go if you’re ever in Dallas. Another late night but so fun!
Saturday morning we attempted to order room service…but when it hadn’t arrived two hours later we just said screw it & went on our day for our 9am meetings without coffee and food. :/ Kristin & I were so busy that morning with one on one brand meetings & trying to finish up in the networking hall that we didn’t really have much time to think about how hungry we were until lunch finally rolled around. We headed back over to the eye ball for lunch hosted by Luisaviaroma & got our belly’s full! Kristin & I decided to head back to Highland Park Village for a quick shoot & much needed Starbucks. The finale of the conference was the white party held at the opera hall. There were little bites, endless wine & champagne, & a white out. The DJ, dancers, & the night overall was great. Late night burgers were in order after a long evening, & then bed. I think Kristin & I are both still catching up on sleep, but overall it was a great trip. I learned a lot in every way shape & form, (some good, some bad), & I’m honored to have been invited to attend the conference. Holler if you have any questions about anything, & thanks for reading!
